No Remedy
I’m slipping into my role,
taking the piss out of it all,
running till I hit the wall,
too far gone to feel the fall.
Can’t control it,
can’t contain it,
can’t even face it,
ain’t no remedy.
I seen it coming,
felt the ground crumbling,
you warned me I’d lose control,
but I’m just on a roll,
and my body’s paying the toll.
Tell myself it’s just a phase,
lost inside this haze,
locked up in this cage,
can’t turn the page,
so I keep on running,
from the thing that I’m becoming.
